I am Nani for friends, family and otherwise. Incidentally I was named 'Nani' before 'Lalitalaxmi'. Then my parents thought of adding some emotion to my name. Speaking of emotions, we Indians love them. Nobody is more emotionally charged than us, and Bollywood drama is our inspiration.
Drama and dreams are my two preserved passions. When I realized I could use these passions at work, I knew I had found my place. Reassurance came when at 17, I wrote my first published print campaign for Bombay Stock Exchange.
People are often curious about the move I made two years ago from Mumbai to Miami.
Adjusting to America meant living around the warm and friendly Americans, and slowly learning to forget the correct English grammar. That and many other things, have made this an adventure every single day.
